Air Seal Duct System

A duct system that is well-designed and properly sealed can make your home more comfortable, energy efficient and safer for your family. In a typical home, about 20 to 30% of the air that moves through the duct system is lost due to leaks, holes, and poorly connected ducts. The end result is higher utility bills, uncomfortable rooms, and dirty, unhealthy air. With our air duct sealing process, we test your home's duct system with a duct blaster. This test tells us how much the duct system is leaking and where the air could possibly be leaking out. We quantify how much the duct system is leaking before any work is completed and then test again after the work is completed to verify the amount of reduction.

Duct Replacement

Many duct systems leak in excess of 20 - 30%, and in many cases, the existing ductwork is original to the home. With many homes in excess of 30 years old, often times the insulation is falling off of the metal duct pipes, and we find that the ductwork was not sealed during the original installation. Technology and building science have changed significantly over the last two decades. Many systems were properly installed 20 years ago, but we have learned so much and have the ability to test duct systems with new tools and technologies, we have the ability to install a nearly air tight duct system today. After seeing the large air leakage and installation issues when testing the duct system, many homeowners decide to replace their old duct system with a new properly designed and air tight duct system. Replacing the duct system will significantly reduce utility bills, substantially improve the homes air quality by delivering cleaner, healthier, air, and makes their home more comfortable.
